Why I Gave These Guides a Crew
I’m Ella Hartly, lead editor of the Win Bonanza blog and the writer behind the voices of Wren, Sierra and Gigi.
This project began with a simple idea: facts cannot help much if people stop reading before they reach them. Too often, I saw useful answers buried in long blocks of hard words. Readers had to work hardest when they needed help most.
One missed rule can change how someone thinks about an account step, a prize request or a break from play. A clear, friendly page helps that rule reach the reader.
That is why I created the Win Bonanza Crew. A short story can make a new idea easier to grasp. A familiar voice can help with the next tough question. The facts still need their own sources.
Three Writing Voices. Four Crew Members.
Each character brings a different question to the work.
- Wren: What does the rule mean? Our navigator brings careful checks and dry wit to rules, who can play and what key terms mean.
- Sierra: How can we help? Our engineer looks at an account issue, the person facing it and the next step that could help.
- Gigi: What do we check first? Our pilot brings a brisk, hands-on style to game features, offers and events.
- Winnie: What did we miss? Our capuchin scout helps the crew find new clues. He is a full crew member. (though he does not write guides… yet!)
They are fictional characters from our science-fiction world. Their stories can help explain an idea. They are not proof of real work skills, product tests or use of a player account.
How a Source Becomes a Guide
- Find the answer. Start with the rule, policy, help page or other source that backs up the claim.
- Write it plainly. Put three short Quick Answers near the top. Then explain the rules and examples the reader needs.
- Choose the voice. Pick the crew member whose way of thinking fits the topic. Keep the story close to the point.
- Check the full page. Review facts, dates, links and art. Make sure the page is easy to use and the next step makes sense. Someone who needs a break should get a link to help with that break.
- Keep it current. Check details when they change. Add a clear note when a fix changes the meaning of the guide.
These are the steps our guides must follow. A character’s name or a source date does not mean a human editor has approved that version.
About Ella
I’m Win Bonanza’s Lead Editor, a role I began in May 2026. I have worked as a freelance gaming writer since June 2024, with a focus on social casinos.
My background includes reporting, feature writing, proofreading, and creative storytelling. At Win Bonanza, I use those skills to shape our guides, our character voices, and our process for checking sources and fixing errors.
Three questions guide that work: Can we support this claim? Will a new reader understand it? Does the next step help that reader?
What I Owe You
A story should never hide a weak fact. A clear answer should include the rules that matter. An offer should never crowd out a link to help you take a break.
Win Bonanza writes about its own service, and we make that clear. Our guides can explain the basics of law, taxes or health. They cannot give advice for your own case.
If you spot an error, please request an edit. Send the page link, the line we should check and a source if you have one. For private account issues, use Mission Control.
I want you to leave with an answer you understand, a source you can check and a useful next step. The crew helps tell the story. We are responsible for the guide.
