From Gigi’s Preflight Notes
“First, Tell Me What That Button Does.”
I’m Gigi Celeste. I fly the ship, watch the field and enjoy a control panel that tells me what each button does.
Yes, I like moving fast. I like knowing how to stop even more. Those habits make a fine team.
On the blog, I help you read game screens, learn what features do and check an offer’s rules. Wilds, scatters, free spins and events all have their own rules. Once you know what each one does, a busy screen gets much easier to read.
My Three Favorite Checks
- Know What You Are Looking At
- A feature in a game and a reward offer may use the same words but have different rules.
- Learn the Controls
- Read the game’s help panel. A symbol you know may work a different way in this game.
- Keep Your Stop Point
- A grid that is almost full or a streak you want to keep is not a reason to change your plan.
My guides get to the point, try a clear example and leave the dramatic music to the ship.
Lessons from the Outer Routes
I grew up on Aurelia Station, a city in orbit built through a ring of solar collectors. I trained with the Aureate Flight Guard, which handled rescue work along the station’s outer routes.
During one rescue, I saved a damaged transport but moved too fast for my wing partner to follow safely. My partner was hurt. Saving the ship did not undo that harm.
It changed what a good choice meant to me. Courage needs a clear route, a shared plan and a landing everyone can reach.
I later left the Guard when its leaders put central systems ahead of repair crews on the outer routes. During the Sunline crisis, I met Wren and Sierra. They pushed me to think about my pace without asking me to be less brave. We made a good team. Wren still insists on reading the whole display.
Once We Have Landed
I like a smooth turn, a well-timed joke and hearing Wren admit a route was a little scenic. Sierra tends to check the ship while I tell that story. She says the engine room is quieter.
Bring your sense of fun. We’ll check the controls together.
